I recently had to replace my garage door opener and was fortunate enough to get a warranty replacement and upgrade as the LRC100 is no longer made.

An LT400 was supplied, a lightly larger unit of an odd shape

I thought it would be a good time to try the Grill removal technique to see if I could make the GDO fitting easier.

I have to say I managed to remove the old one and fit a new one very easily which saved me messing around with a complete bumper removal.

Even though it is sealed I felt ensuring it was sealed with silicone was a good idea.

The cable is rooted along the bumper and around the drivers side light around the water bottle.
Then passes into the bulkhead and down above the relay panel under the fuse box.
